Woodhill Group specializes in the commercial scale supply of premium black sand and the management of sustainable clean fill operations, serving Auckland, Northland, and Waikato. The company operates from Woodhill Forest, providing high-quality materials for construction, infrastructure and landscaping projects.

Woodhill black sand is a natural resource known for its fine, heavy properties, and is used in various applications, such as ground improvement for roading projects and as a key ingredient in landscaping products like lawn mixes and also golf courses.

In partnership with Ngā Maunga Whakahii o Kaipara Ngahere Ltd (NMWoKNL), Woodhill Group manages clean-fill facilities within Woodhill Forest under a licensing agreement. This collaboration ensures responsible land use and environmental sustainability, adhering to the highest quality and regulatory standards.
Fill from many housing developments and large infrastructure projects (such as the City Rail Link and Central Interceptor) has been safely managed at Woodhill.
Woodhill Group is committed to the responsible management of land and materials. Through its partnership with NMWoKNL, the company contributes to environmental enhancement initiatives (like native planting and pest trapping) and supports projects in the local community.

Woodhill Group’s clean fill facility accepts specific types of natural materials, such as clay, gravel, rock, and soil, provided they are free from contaminants. Please note that prior assessment and approval is required before depositing materials at this site. The facility operates at a commercial scale and does not accept ‘household’ quantities of clean fill, nor sell sand by the trailer load.
